A Little About The White Lion

Our menu features a wide variety of traditional home cooked dishes and our desserts are lovingly prepared by our dedicated dessert chefess. We pride ourselves on giving a good service by taking food and drink orders at the table so that your eating experience is not interrupted by waiting at the bar.

On Sunday we serve locally sourced Isle of Wight roast meats which are hand carved and served with our delicious homemade gravy (which is gluten free). A Light Bite version is available for those who enjoy eating a roast dinner but do not have a big appetite.

Our courtyard is newly refurbished and enjoys a pleasant view of the church with a backdrop of the surrounding countryside behind.

We are very keen to maintain the atmosphere of a village pub and welcome walkers and their furry friends. There are many local walks to be enjoyed, including the footpath past St George’s Church that leads up onto Arreton Down, from where the panoramic view of the countryside and coastline is spectacular.
